200 year old listed Georgian Manor House offers an interesting
juxtaposition with the modern and the old. The original bedrooms
reflect the elegance of the hotels history whilst new bedrooms
allow guests to choose a more contemporary yet no less luxurious
style. The hotel makes an ideal venue in the North Yorkshire Moors
National Park, the east coast resorts of Whitby and Scarborough,
historic York and Castle Howard and the very popular steam railway
for a trip to Heartbeat Country. Forest & Vale is a very popular
choice for weddings and its idyllic walled garden offers the perfect
secluded backdrop, whatever the occasion.
Mark
and Karen's wedding service was held at St Mary's church in Sandsend
which is about the most perfect little building. Unlike St Mary's
in Whitby it is small and wonderfully intimate. From Sandsend
the party moved to Pickering's Forest and Vale hotel where a Christmas
themed wedding reception efficiently got into full swing. The
happy couple, and their daughter, Emily, clearly had a fantastic
day. A lovely winter wedding and two fantastic wedding venues
in Pickering and Sandsend.

lovely venue that balances a modern and historic aesthetic the
Forest and Vale is in the Heart of Pickering. This wedding was
in winter an the Forest and Vale certainly felt like welcoming
place to be with it's Christmas decorations up.
